 LGT vs anti-LGT considerations:


1. Jesus said "be YE perfect" mat 5:48. in 28 out of 30 english translations. the other 2 say "complete".
2. satan said that the law cannot be followed. and should be edited.
3. many people in the bible are described as perfect/blameless/righteous.
4. perfect is a point/span of time. lucifer was perfect. adam, eve also.
5. imperfect people can become perfect (144k, great multitude, white robes, pure) despite previous sins because of grace/repentance/forgiveness/atonement/salvation.
6. psalm 51:5 is metaphor. it also doesn't say born with sin. otherwise Jesus would also be born with sin? being born of mary.
7. LGT proponents understand the difference between "claiming"/"indulging the thought that one is" perfect(ion) vs "be ye"/striving
8. the remnant, the 144,000, the great multitude keep ALL the commandments
9. the definition of sin, the all 3 authorities (bible, church, EGW) in the 28fundamental beliefs agree upon is "transgression". bible says so, some theologians say so, and egw says 29 times "the ONLY definition of sin is transgression", and 6 times "the TRUE defintion of sin is transgression". 28fbexposition is not even same definition of sin with sdahandbookoftheology.
10. many anti-LGT left the church of lost ministerial credentials (desmond ford. Brinsmead) and were not restored
11. mainstream sda used to be LGT prior to QOD.
12. theologians are inconclusive because there are theologians in every side or corner of belief.
13. mainstream changes, ask about maintstream sda theology changes since 1863.
14. egw warns about changes in doctrines.
15. bible and egw are stable.
16. what is "close of probation" for if some anti-LGT says it is possible to repent after close of probation?
17. what is "close of probation" for if some anti-LGT says it is only for the lost? the saved can still repent after COP, they say.
18. anti-LGT strawmans "perfect" into "sinless perfection", then into "absolute sinless perfection" (w/c only God is). strawmanning is changing/exagerating the argument to make it easier to prove.
19. anti-LGT avoid egw quotes, and say "only bible", but they edit the meaning of "perfect" into "maturity" or "perfect love", as if Jesus didn't know what he was talking about.
20. anti-LGT talks about context but escape's immediate context "as your father is perfect". and try to jump to another verse far away to make perfect less perfect into maturity.
21. if perfect is maturity, how can infants be saved?
22. lgt understands "age of accountability". egw says infants of believers, if infant die, will be saved. but not sure about unbelievers. therefore they did not inherit sin.
23. the children should not be punished for their parents sins. Ezekiel 18:20
24. "visiting iniquity of fathers to 3rd and 4th generation" is the result of sin.
25. "blotting out of sin"
26. close of probation is deadline checking of graduation requirements. 2nd coming is graduation. should pass ur paper not during graduation, but before deadline for submission of grades.
27. cannot go to 7-11 to buy pasaload oil/character when the bridegroom comes already
