Chapel Convocation Makeup Suggestion


Abstract: Most common chapel grade is Poor/Unsatisfactory. Chapel grade is high-stakes for honor students. PIC seats 1500-1800 but students are 3500. During pandemic, most common grade was Excellent; Mark Finley's evangelism sermons were additional material; comprehensive quizzes ~700 questions/ideas conveyed; +1000 Bible verses impressed/exposed/advertised thru multiple choices. Suggestion: allow answering of  (3)  evangelism comprehensive questionnaires as makeup for 1 chapel attendance absence. 3 mental attendances for 1 physical attendance. Will lessen pressure to student services / adcom / students, raise grades, teach more truth; moodle automated quiz checking easier than checking attendance. Furthermore, based on reviewers and approvers of normal grades for classes, chapel grades should have also more reviewers/approvers to help detect/correct mistakes.
