Is Manna Plant or Flesh Food?
- Ps 78:25 Men ate angels’ food; He sent them food to the full.
- All food mentioned in the bible and EGW visions/writings, until after the flood were not flesh foods.
- Animals were created lower than humans, also ate non-flesh foods until after the flood. Angels who were created higher than humans, therefore probably also ate non-flesh based food.
- The whole universe probably eats non-flesh food products except in earth after the flood.
- “And the house of Israel called the name thereof Manna: and it was like CORIANDER SEED, white; and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey. ” Exodus 16:31 KJV
- If it tastes like wafer (wheat), with honey (flowers nectar processed by bees) (not flesh meat, doesn't kill), and looks like coriander seed. It is probably non-flesh food. It doesn't look or taste like flesh food.
- No death in heaven (angels live in heaven). Therefore can't be flesh food based.
- Manna in Angola tastes sweet like wafer.
- "He provided them with the food best adapted for this purpose, not flesh, but manna, "the bread of heaven." {MH 311.2}
- If manna was flesh, why would the Israelites complain wanting flesh pots from Egypt?
- Neither is it chemical food like salt and water. Because it rot the next day except on Sabbath.
Is it fungi? doesn't look nor taste like it.fungi is created in the animals day or plants day?- By departing from the plan divinely appointed for their diet, the Israelites suffered great loss. They desired a flesh diet, and they reaped its results. They did not reach God's ideal of character or fulfill His purpose. The Lord "gave them their request, but sent leanness into their soul." They valued the earthly above the spiritual, and the sacred preeminence which was His purpose for them they did not attain. {CD 375.1}
- As a general thing, the Lord did not provide His people with flesh meat in the desert, because He knew that the use of this diet would create disease and insubordination. In order to modify the disposition, and bring the higher powers of the mind into active exercise, He removed from them the flesh of dead animals. He gave them angels' food, manna from heaven. {CD 375.2}
- They would not be content with the healthful food which God had provided for them. Their depraved appetites craved a greater variety, especially flesh meats. {CD 375.3}

- The Lord could have given them flesh had it been essential for their health, but He who created and redeemed them, led them the long journey in the wilderness to educate and discipline and train them in correct habits. The Lord understood what the influence of flesh eating has upon the human system. He would have a people that would, in their physical appearance, bear the divine credentials notwithstanding their long journey. . . . {MM 277.3}
- And had rained down manna upon them to eat, and had given them of the corn of heaven. Psalm 78:24
- While God has given ample evidence for faith, He will never remove all excuse for unbelief. All who look for hooks to hang their doubts upon will find them. And those who refuse to accept and obey God's word until every objection has been removed, and there is no longer an opportunity for doubt, will never come to the light. {GC 527.2}
