Acasis HDMI Capture USB2.0 capture review ($11) Php 560 waveform vectorscope RGB parade bars 3D LUT

No review is objective without vectorscope, waveform, and RGB parade readings of the standard color bars :)

the color bars were generated by a Panasonic DVX200 and the scope was an Atomos Samurai Blade connected to the HDMI output of the laptop running OBS and outputting the captured video fullscreen on the extended desktop. a HDMI-to-SDI converter is between laptop and atomos.

of course these won't make sense if you don't know how to read scopes :).  if that is the case, just scroll down and look at the video/pictures.

In the following photos, the picture in the camera app is from the capture device.  The picture in the extended desktop is the original.

notice this picture. click to zoom in. the edges of are wrong colors.

now here are the pictures.  they seem to add saturation, and quite look better than the original.  they are not accurate but they look good and great for the price of Php560 ($US 11).

after a few hours of use, this device has failed. it cannot be detected properly. and it overheats, cannot hold the device. too hot. will return it.
